Ian was first exposed to the benefits of holistic health when he experienced his own health crisis and healing journey. After years of wandering through the healthcare system, both standard and alternative care, he discovered Ayurveda, a lifestyle based health system designed to unlock your natural state of well-being. After deeply healing himself with Ayurveda, he committed himself to studying this health system and sharing its wisdom with others. In addition to becoming a certified Ayurvedic health counselor, Ian went through years of independent study, personal experimentation, professional training, and apprenticeships in the field of holistic health. He holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Stetson University. He is the founder of Heaven on Earth Healing Arts, a private practice offering Ayurveda, meditation training, and holistic health coaching. Ian distills the essence of healing and offers comprehensive, personalized care of the whole person.
Though Ian's primary modality is Ayurveda, he is knowledgeable about other modalities of holistic health and draws upon them when necessary to provide an integrated, personalized approach to health care. Ian teaches clients to become their own healer and to take their well-being into their own hands. Ian illuminates the healing path with deep insight, clarity, and practicality. He is most passionate about teaching and distilling the practice of Sitting Meditation and the deeply healing process of Living Meditation. He asserts that true health can only be had through self-understanding, and that meditation brings about that clarity.
Ian conducts presentations, information sessions, and Q and A's on a variety of topics, including Ayurveda, meditation, sleep, stress, emotional health, spirituality, and the practical mechanics of health. He leads workshops and classes on meditation, adopted to the specific needs of the studio and class.
